The Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area
We recently enjoyed a stay at this fantastic new hotel in Orlando that sits within walking distance to Disney Springs. We love being in this area, and found this hotel offered much more than just a great location. If you are someone looking for the most value for your dollar when visiting the Walt Disney World area, this blog is for YOU!
To start, this is a family owned and run hotel (we actually met a Drury during our visit here) that has been in operation for nearly 50 years. This family has some truly great values that bleed into their business. If you have ever stayed at a resort in the Orlando area, you have most likely paid a daily resort fee, you will not see that here. That alone saves you a good chunk of change!
But wait……it gets better! They also offer a complimentary breakfast that will blow your mind. With selections such as pancakes, eggs, fruit, cereal, bagels, potatoes, sausage, bacon and so much more than your average continental breakfast, this is a great way to start your day before heading into the parks. Then after a long day out in the Orlando sun, come back in the evening for what they call the 5:30 Kickback. Here they serve evening snacks but don’t be fooled, you can pretty much make this your dinner as it is all you care to enjoy. They do have a scheduled menu that you can find by clicking here. Hold onto your seats, for every adult guest on the reservation, they will receive 3 free cocktails per night of their reservation, no joke, free cocktails! For the littles they offer juice, soda and water complimentary. AND, if that wasn’t enough, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm they offer free popcorn and soft drinks as well as complimentary coffee 24 hours a day. If you are well traveled, you know that just a beverage alone in this popular tourist area can be almost five dollars, so when you list everything The Drury offers, you will see that your dollar goes very far here.
This property was just opened in December of 2022, after they took the old hotel down to the studs before completely renovating it. The guest rooms are spacious and they also have suites for those who are traveling with family, or simply desire more privacy. During our recent stay we had a suite that provided a fireworks view. We watched both Epcot’s fireworks and Magic Kingdoms while enjoying our free popcorn the hotel offers. Don’t get nervous about the perks of the hotel being so good that there has to be a catch. The property is very clean, the service you receive is fantastic, and we have yet to catch a flaw here. They even offer complimentary scheduled transportation to and from the Walt Disney World parks.
